When you are in a wheelchair, they don't put you through the normal line. Instead you're taken aside, wanded, pehaps shoes checked, etc... What do they make you do with your computer? Now, my wife can take it through, and watch that it's not stolen. However, what if I'm traveling alone? How will I be able to watch it is not stolen? I remember PHX when I wenit through that my wife was in line and when she came through there was a wall between where I went through and where she went through. The wall ended after, maybe 20 feet. If I roll up to security and they yake my laptop to run through the machine, how do i watch it? Will they instead inspect it with me? I hope my question makes sense.

Might I suggest asking this question in the Travel Safety and Security forum? There are a number of TSA screeners who post there who would be happy to address your question. As they spend most of there time there dodging attacks by people who think that the TSA is equivalent to the SS, I think they'd enjoy a chance to answer your question.

From my experiences..a staff member will take your laptop through the normal security screening and then bring it back to you. This is done while you are being checked so there is not much time wasted.
Of course..it depends largely on the airport http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif
