Hello All,
I'm starting to plan my honeymoon for August 2003, and we're looking at Fiji for 5 or 6 nights. I'm looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel/resort that will run approximately $400 to $500/night. Something smaller would be ideal. Any suggestions are appreciated, as I have never been to Fiji. Thanks.

My dear friend Mr. Tony Robbins runs a very private little dig that is beautiful and well kept.

His ex wife did a wonderful job keeping it up, it's been a while but I'm sure it's still great.

He uses it a lot for private functions, so reservations may be hard to get. It;s an hour away from Nadi (by plane)

The Wakaya Club would also fit your criteria, it offers only 9 ocean view cottages, but it runs $1675.00 US per couple, per night (with a 5 night minimum) inclusive of meals, open bar, and all activities, excepting fishing charters.

Are you planning to Scuba?

The diving is poor near Nadi. You should go to Taveuni or nearby for diving.

The words Lux and Fiji do not work well together - Waykaya is the choice and is very good - but not as good as people say -

Go to Bali to FS or Aman and CHANGE YOUR OUTLOOK ON LIFE!

I have heard good things about Wakaya but I would be amiss if Turtle Island wasn't mentioned the two are simialar.

Bula! At that price range, Wakaya and Turtle Island are out of the question. You should consider Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort (http://www.fijiresort.com). It's on Vanua Levu (the second largest island) and you fly in from Nadi.

Make sure to see the Garden of the Sleeping Giant.
