Anyone here stayed at the Seiyo Ginza Hotel in Tokyo before?

It is one of the Leading Hotels of the World, and part of the Rosewood Hotel chain (which also includes "The Caryle" in NYC)

Never stayed there, but have been in the hotel, and been in the rooms. Quite nice, good location, but for that kind of dough, I'd stay at the Imperial or Okura, and if you don't mind the location, the FS. If you want all out, location be danged, the PHT is the place to be.

Generally agree with Pickles comments. Can't see the premium over the Imperial which is slightly better located for most things.

4 Seasons is great but truly horrible location for business.

If you are mainly doing business in Shinjuku, Park Hyatt is great...otherwise not worth the schlep.

But are the Imperial and Okura "Big" hotels with lots of rooms? (a few hundered to a thousand rooms)

Seiyo Ginza only has about 80 rooms in the hotel.

Yea, they are big hotels, and the Seiyo has a cozier feel to it (not as satisfying as the PHT, which feels like what my home ought to feel like). However, both have service such that you'll likely feel as if the hotel has one room, and you are in it.

I've averaged more than 60 nights/year at the Imperial for the last 5 years. While they take care of me very well, I do sometimes wish it were smaller. In general, I much prefer smaller more personalized hotels. However, I can't beat the Imperial combination of price, quality, location and service.

LOVE the Seiyo Ginza. It's small, so that you really do feel like you're the only person in the place. You even have a choice of pillows. If you stay there and ask for the "firm" pillow, note that the pillow they provide you will weigh approximately 10 pounds (I think it's filled with birdseed...). But it's firm! Minibar beer is complimentary (or was last time I was there).

Food is pretty good, too. It usually has prices to match the service, but one can occasionally get decent rates there (I'm paying Y30000/night next month, and that's from the Rosewood website). You may be able to do better if you shop around.
