Help me out folks?

I have around 290K in Qualiflyer points and I want to go on holidays for 2-3 weeks leaving no later than 22 Novemeber (and being away on the 23rd).

I have to be in Mexico for something 10-16 of November (Monterrey, which I hear is not particularly pretty) for a meeting (that someone else will pay the flight costs for) and I am not keen of making Mexico my holiday. I'll probably return to the UK after Mexico and head off afterwards.

I haev never had so much in the way of choice or possibilities and feel a bit overwhlemed by my options.

I will be 34 (which is 189 in gay years) on 23 November and so I feel this is probably my last holiday when I can even pretend that I am young so I'd like it to be a good one.

Any thoughts?

Monterrey is not as bad as you think, but it's definitely not the place to finish working and start your vacation.

I guess given the time of year you want to go I would suggest some kind of "sweep" tour of Australia (Sydney/Melbourne/Cairns maybe). I did that a while back and loved it.

I've spent November(s) in Hawaii and had a wonderful time. Are you going alone? Are you looking for gay-related activities in the places you travel? Honolulu is overbuilt, but for a solo gay traveler there is plenty of fun. Otherwise I would suggest the other islands, especially Kauai. I've also been to Australia and New Zealand in November. If you have enough time, you can do all three places!

If you aren't keen on Mexico why not head from there to the Caribbean ? After all, you're much closer from Mexico than the UK and the entire area is all about vacations. That said, you might want to reconsider visiting some of the nicer areas of Mexico. I've never been to Merida but I've heard raves about it... all the beauty of Cancun without the college kids and alcoholic induced illness. I'll definitely agree that MTY is NOT a place you want to vacation. I have friends there and love to visit because it can be fun but definitely not a resort/vacation hotspot.

Thnaks for all the suggestions. If this counts as a "problem" it is certainly one of life's better problems to have.

LAX-MEX-MTY in Y on MX (paid for ticket)

5 nights in Monterrey for a Conference

Back home on the Saturday the same way I came.

Monday EDI-LHR (paid for on BD in Y)

One night Hong Kong

HKG-SYD-MEL QF in J (FFP ticket)

One night Melbourne

MEL-HTI QF in J (FFP ticket)

5 nights sailing in the Whitsunday Islands

HTI-BNE-SYD QF in J (FFP ticket)

5 nights in Sydney

SYD-HKG QF in J (FFP ticket)

HKG-LHR CX in J (FFP ticket)

LHR-EDI (paid for ticket)

I appreciate that this is much more exciting for me than for the rest of you ;-)

Great choice! I took my open water diving course in the Whitsundays. Its beautiful, and the water was amazingly clear.
You will just miss the Gay Games in Sydney(Nov2-9). I'm going with a few friends, then up to Cairns to stay at the gay resort - Turtle Cove.

Have a fun time...I know you'll enjoy it!
