Twice, in 1996 and 1997 I stayed at Number Seven in the Brixton section of London. It was about a 10-15 minute ride on the Victoria Line from Victoria station and in an eclectic neighborhood. They had quite a nice website then, and in planning an upcoming trip, I cannot find it anywhere on the web. Two lovers, Paul and John were the proprieters and it was a pleasure to be a guest there. Would anyone by any chance have any information as to whether or not they are still in business, or otherwise. Having made good friends of them, I have a rather uneasy feeling. Hope someone can help.

I too was looking for lodging in London and couldn't find any mention of this guesthouse. All web hits go to some gay portal now.

I did a quick flick through the local magazines - there are no classified ads for this place. Brixton is a faxt changing place - they could well have moved on somewhere more upmarket perhaps.

JWH, you're family??? http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/redface.gif Wow, now I REALLY wonder what the hell you're doing in Wacko!! It's not exactly GLB friendly...

However, it is nice to see you posting something non-bushism. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/cool.gif

Kanebear: Family, property, desire for a more relaxed lifestyle after years in Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas. Keep thinking "Wacko". Waco is probably the best kept secret in Texas, and we would really prefer that it remain so. Liberal newspaper, democratic congressman of long standing, and two hours to Dallas or Austin.
Why does it surprise you so that a Texan is not a groveling worshiper of the adolescent in the White House? Just kidding--political commentary is stimulating, at least for me.
