Last month on a flight from LAX to ATL we boarded late and as we were putting up our carry-on's the flight attendant came over and whispered: "are you part of the family?".

I was stunned for a second and said: "excuse me", I couldn't believe she'd ask a question like that. She then said: "I was just wondering if you were part of the Delta Family, we have a couple who would really like to move out of their bulkhead seats".

She turned out to be a great FA and apologized for thinking we were non-revs. It was nice thought, though, she was just trying get better seats for the paying passengers and made the wrong assumption that we were on free tickets.

We didn't move, of course, since we're not members of that family. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif

Funny! I would have had a funny look on my face if I was asked that.
