I had the priviledge of being on an American Airlines flight captained by an M2F woman recently. I would have loved to have greeted and her and given my heartfelt congratulations but I was first off the plane and she was busy with her arrival checklist.

I seem to remember hearing something about her story a few years ago. Does anyone know more or know of other 'trans-pilots' for commercial airlines out there?

ps. Sort of gives a new meaning to TWA... think about it http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

I remember seeing that pilot working for AirTran. Or maybe it was American Trans Air?

*groan* yew kids are merciless!

i can toss off a whole bunch of cases of MTF pilots. i have noooo idea why, but American seems to have garnered more than a couple and one of my fave CO DC-10 (i can almost feel the AC/DC crack coming *grin*) pilots is, um, ahem, like me.

airlines on the whole seem fairly cool, though i can tell you all about ulane v. eastern air lines, even though i was like two years old when she got fired and touched off the case that taught the important lesson of not suing on anything related to LBGTQW rights in Federal court.

but i'm in class. maybe i should pay attention to the nice professor man now? http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

Gruezi. How did you learn the pilot was a M2F woman? Surely, this was not included in the departure annoucements http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/eek.gif

I'm not sure I've had the pleasure of being flown by one of my T* sisters but when my United lawsuit was making headlines I did have a couple of letters from TS employees of other airlines offering me their support.

There are more of us about than many folks imagine http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif
