Harrah's Entertainment's board of directors has approved construction of a $90 million, 480-room hotel tower at Showboat Atlantic City. The project will boost the property's capacity to 1,230 rooms; expansion is expected to be completed in the fall of 2003. Plans also are under consideration for a $190 million expansion of Harrah's Atlantic City, adding 450 hotel rooms and 50,000 square feet of casino space.
