Just called the shop where my snowmobile is getting repaired in Eagle River, WI (far north WI)

While there is still ice on the lakes (an improvment from last year), there is almost no snow and it is expected to be in the high40's this week.

With the cold fall, I had hopes of a winter filled w/ x-country skiing and snowmobiling but alas, I may be skunked agian.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I've been skunked again! This past weekend did about 100 miles of snowmobile riding, trails around towns were cra_.

There was no X-country skiing to be done.

The businesses are truly hurting in the Northwoods. I really hope for a great summer and a heck of a winter next year.
