Any and all help is greatly appreciated:
1. What hotels downtown are recommended among Starwood, Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt?

2. Any good eateries? We'd love a great steakhouse.

3. Bars - blues, old and historical...anything?

4. Other sites to see?

We'll be there for Friday evening, all day Saturday and part of the day on Sunday. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

Marriott Copley Place and Westin Coply are both nice, Westin is nicer. Easy access to public transportation, expensive parking as is the case throughout Boston. Both are an easy walk to Boylston and Newbury Streets, the main shopping streets of the city. For great overpriced food.."Biba", just down the street.
Check Boston.com for current activities. Ongoing: The Aquarium, Quincy Market, Science Museum, for art the Eliz. Stewart Gardner Museum is a hidden jewell. One of the many harbor cruises is a nice diversion as are the "Duck Tours", amphibious vehicles that tour the city then take you for a ride down the Charles.

Check out the "Bostix" booth at Copley Plaza in front of the library ( a 5 min walk from the hotels above) for same day half price tickets to theater. Get there at opening which I think is 10 am.
