Are there any events in Boston over the Columbus Day weekend that would result in high hotel occupancy and rates?

Foliage season is my bet... it is beautiful in New England that time of year...

My son is in college up there. There are over 70 colleges and Universities in the immediate Boston area.

Fall parents weekend can fill hotels up very fast. They vary from school to school. I usually boom my rooms for October there in August.

Foliage is great at that time if the year...NH is very nice. However getting a hotel over Columbus Day Weekend in NH is nearly impossible..so Book early.

Thanks. Was thinking more along the lines of homecoming, Charles River regattas, parent's weekend and the like. I've been caught up in Boston marathons and Harvard convocations int he past.
