Hi, we are going to Phoenix for 4 days in early March to watch Spring Training Baseball.. any suggestions for nice, yet reasonable hotels/resorts and good restaurants would be appreciated. Also, where to go on the non game day and in the evenings.
Thanks,
Michelle

Restaurant recommendation - Vincent's on Camelback Ave and Cafe Terra Cotta on Scottsdale Blvd in Scottsdale.
There are so many good resorts in the area, it's hard to know where to begin. We were pleasantly surprised by Tapatio Cliffs, not usually considered among the top places.

Go up to Cave Creek, just northwest of Scottsdale, and find El Encanto on Cave Creek Rd. It has a great patio, with a pond, ducks, and big trees for shade. Wonderful atmosphere, and good food to boot!
First Watch in Scottsdale is great for breakfast or brunch (and is on the idine miles list!)
Los Olivos, near the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, is one of the oldest & coolest for mexican.
Check out the archives--we've had lots of folks ask about our area, and lots of the information you seek is already here.
