Staying at this hotel (Priceline Bid) in November....was wondering if anyone knows anything about the hotel.

Located at 39 Rue Fontaine (9t district)
Blance Metro (is close to Pigalle - not so good)

I have always stayed in the 5th, 6th, 7th, or 17th...was not so sure how 'safe' this area felt....any feedback would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

Not familiar with the hotel, but the Pigalle area is safe. It is just seedy, or at least on the outside. I have been there at 2am with busloads of Asian tourists just coming in to take the tours of the area. Like the Moulin Rouge, it relies a lot on reputation.

drtravels - thanks for the welcome....this is an incredible site!!

My bid for the hotel was $55 (per night)plus $10 Priceline Bonus. Total for 5 nights with tax and priceline fee was $306....

I will agree that the area is a bit seedy, but lots of local color. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif The Hotel Blanche was the first hotel I ever stayed in Paris. One thing of note, Blanche was closed from early Sept. to late Oct, but to reopen by the time of your visit.

Hopefully. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

When are you going in November? I'll be there on Wednesday, could go check it out. You don't have an email address.
