Total travel time including walking is about 15-20 minutes.

Look for the Metro-RER signs, and follow the signs to RER Ligne D. Gare de Lyon will be the 2nd stop.

Good and accurate advice from wideman. Also, a very useful online tool is the "Itinéraires" utility, on the RATP web site, that allows you plan an itinerary in Paris via bus, Métro, RER or SNCF. The main site's URL is:

There is an icon for the English version of the site, where you can use the equivalent "Route Finder" to obtain the information you need if you cannot read French.
