Just wondering where the good beaches are in and around San Diego. I will be there for a long weekend. Also, which is better, the San Diego Zoo or the Wildlife Park?

Staying at the Sheraton on Harbor Island Drive. I've heard that Old Town is kind of run down and a disappointment. Anyone been there recently with any comments.
