Summer 2003 vacation will be in Alaska, but the info I've been able to find re accomodations at Denali NP is sketchy at best. I have reserved a room at Mt. McKinley Chalet, but have found no reviews or stay reports about it. Any advice and recommendations re accomodations near the park entrance will be most appreciated.

All of the places at/near the park entrance are behemoth places run by the cruise ship companies and/or overrun by their passengers.
We stayed about 10 minutes north of the park entrance in Healy, at the Motel Nord Haven. Once the former Mme Wideman got over the shock of Healy (she was expecting an actual town), we found that the motel was comfortable and cozy, and a great deal better than the ugly scene at the cruise ship hotels/motels.
Obviously, you need a car if you stay in Healy.
