ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) -- A third of the parking lot at the airport in Juneau, Alaska's capital city, now is off-limits.
In Barrow, the northernmost United States town, departing air passengers now must either walk to the airport through the frigid Arctic darkness or arrange for drivers to drop them off at the doorway, because parking outside the building is no longer allowed.
And in Valdez, officials are counting on snowdrifts and swamps to help shield the airport from potential terrorists.
