I'm climbing Kili then going on safari for a couple of weeks. I'll also be in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar.

When I was in Kenya and Botswana 6 years ago I can't remember exchanging money, only using US$.

Does anyone have any recommendations regarding travelers checks, ATMs, how much money I should exchange?

Also, any recommendations on places to see & eat in Dar es Salaam and Arusha?
