I will have six hour layover in JNB taking the long way from Nairobi to JNB and then to London/Paris on BA/Air Kenya arriving 10/11 in the morning. Any suggestions what I can do with my free time outside or inside the airport? While the dollar isn't what is use to be with the rand, are there any shopping suggestions. Not a fan of wine tho. Anyway thanks for the advice in advance

I had a seven hour layover last month when I was changing planes between Vic Falls and Atlanta. We left the airport (no problem) and left our carry ons with left Luggage (on level down in the garage) and then took a taxi to Rosebank Mall ~175 Rand to buy some jewlery. It was much cheaper then Duty Free shopping at the airport. We still had enough time to get back to the airport process our receipts and get the duty back. There is also good shopping at the airport, although it is very expensive. FYI there is a good curio mall next to Rosebank to fill in any gift purchases that you may have not yet made.
