Im planning a trip to ZA - probably a total of 10 days, including travel from US (I really can't make it any longer) and have done some but not extensive research about places I want to go to while I'm there. If there's anyone familiar with the country who could give me some assistance with the planning, I'd appreciate it (from accomodations to domestic transportation, car rentals, etc., places to avoid)... Eastbay1K -- I'm in no way a seasoned expert in South Africa, but I've spent about three weeks there (mostly, in the Cape Town area, but also some along the Garden Route and George) earlier this year. What specifically would you like to know?

I replied to this topic under your post in TravelBuzz. Hopefully, I answered most of your questions. I'm not an expert either, but my wife and I have gone to South Africa on vacation for the past three years and we love the place. We think it's one of the best kept secrets on earth and we are considering retiring there! One thing we have come to realize is that You Can Leave South Africa, But It Will Never Leave You!
