My parents will be going to Salzburg later this year for a short anniverary trip. While I've also been to Salzburg, I wasn't there over a weekend. Does the city close up on Saturdays and Sundays, especially Sunday, or is it "touristy" enough that the attractions and shops are open seven days year round? Thanks for any insight.

Just a follow up question to my own question! November 1 is a national holiday in Austria. Can I expect everything to be closed on that day, much as the US is on July 4?

Attractions would be still open. Salzburg is depending on tourists.
