Hello All.

I'm looking for recommendations for long term lodging in Porto Alegre. All I really see on a search for US name brand hotels in Hoilday Inn. Their name says thay have suites, but these are not reflected on the web site.

I'll be working at POA for a few months and am looking for someplace in the city, that would offer nearby restaurants, etc. Someplace nice?

I stayed at the Intercity Hotel which used to be a Best Western property, but it is located far away from the center of the city and the better restaurants and bars. Location-wise I would recommend the Sheraton. For restaurants, I don't think you can beat churrascaria Fogo de Chao, which also has locations in Dallas, Houston and Atlanta. Have fun.
