Hi All,
I will be spending one night in Tokyo on my way from Narita Airport to Kyoto. This hotel seems to in the perfect location for a quick rail layover and is among the cheaper rates I've seen.
Has anyone stayed here? Any comments/criticisms?
Thanks!

The hotel is indeed perfectly located for your purpose, and a welcome break from the ubiquitous 'business hotels'.
Their rates on singles are good (and better with a JR rail pass), but on doubles there is competition aplenty.
One problem with this hotel seems to be that it never has rooms available when you need it.

Just curious... are you using the Shinkansen, and arriving from the US? Do you have business in Tokyo, or are just headed to Kyoto? Most US flights arrive mid/late afternoon, and if you don't mind a sometimes tight connection in Tokyo station, you can connect from the N'Ex to the Shinkansen and still arrive in Kyoto not too late in the evening. This is what I generally do when I have to head to Kyoto, unless I fly into KIX which is generally a much faster route to Kyoto.

UAL Traveler,
I am actually coming from HKG on the CX flight that transits TPE on its way to NRT. I get into NRt around 6:00 PM and, after traveling from JFK-SFO-HKG-TPE-NRT, would prefer a rest before getting to Kyoto.

In that case, you will probably get into town between 7:30 and 8:00 in the evening, which is quite late to head over to Kyoto. I don't blame you for wanting a fresh start in the morning. BTW, you will find the underground shopping in the station area quite impressive.
I've booked a 'Single C' room, which is their cheapest room at 10,000 yen per night. How small of a room should I expect?
This at least looks like a decent hotel. I'll only be staying there for one night. My trip is 6 nights in Tokyo (at the Hilton), then 6 nights in Kyoto (at Rhiga Royal), then 1 night in Tokyo before heading back home. I just didn't want to have a 24+ hour day of travelling without the Tokyo stop, but didn't want to waste a bunch of time getting to my hotel. It sounds like I'll arrive from Kyoto on the bullet train at the station, and can take the Narita Express back to the airport from there as well.
