Dear all,

I have been staying at Le Meridien Changi for the past year and the hotel seems to be doing fine.

When I am trying to book a room for early march, Le Meridien Changi is no longer listed. I even check the official website, but the hotel seems to be shut down.

Any news?

For some reason the hotel is not/no longer listed on the official http://www.lemeridien-hotels.com/ site.

However its own site (at http://www.meridien-changi.com/index.html ) is up and running. Given that they still have 2002 Chinese New Year and Valentine's day specials posted, I think one can safely assume they are still operating http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

Thanks and I booked the hotel through travelocity.com. IT is strange that Le Meridien website does not list the hotel and the Le Meridien Changi is not functionning as well.

i'm told the hotel is leaving the le meridien group sometime very soon. not sure what it will be called after that happens, but it is unlikely to be affiliated to a global chain.

I'm not surprised that they're losing their Meridien affiliation. I stayed there about a year ago while on my first-ever mileage run, and was surprised at how run down it was. Not at all up to the standards of Meridiens elsewhere.

I only stayed once, when I had a brief overnight in SIN. Wouldn't ever do it again. I thought the place was a dump (considering the price). Much better off spending the extra 15 or 20 minutes to stay somewhere better and cheaper.

This hotel is pitched as an "airport" hotel, but really it's just as quick to get to a city hotel. The service was quite friendly though....

just saw a pretty good rate of USD65 for this hotel at www.quickhotelrooms.com. (http://www.quickhotelrooms.com.) that's even lower than the rate on the hotel's own site and at www.asiatravel.com. (http://www.asiatravel.com.) i quite like the booking engine at quickhotelrooms.com too.
