Would someone please let me know if they know an econimical way to stay in touch while in Panama. I have not been successful finding calling cards or cell phone information that is reasonably priced. Thank you for your help

E-mail. They have internet cafes everywhere, and I never had much like with the calling cards in Costa Rica or Panama.

you can get an A t & T calling card from Sam's Club. Prepaid... last time I used it in Panama it was in year 2000 calling the USA was like 9-10 units per minutes (equivalent to about 35 cents a minute)
go to www.att.com/traveler (http://www.att.com/traveler) and pick country and print the dialing instructions calling to/from any world country, including Panama.
For the prepaid card...dial the code for the country as listed online, then when it prompts you dial the 800 access code on your prepaid card, then use it as you would use if if you were calling from the US, the card automatically with reset you and prompt you how many minutes of calling you have left.
Hope this helps..... I've used this method of calling for a long time...and it works in most countries, but in a few you need to go to special phones (eg. Thailand) or use a coin or card to get access to system.
