Looking into planning a Belize trip later this year (prob. November... can never start thinking!). I think we'll have 5 days/4 nights, and would like to spend at least 2 days at the beach scuba diving. I'd also like to spend at least part of a day checking out some of the ruins.
Any advice on where to go, where to stay, how to handle logistically, etc. Thanks.

Went there 11/02 to Caye Caulker for diving only. Weather wise good time of year.

We went to the Xunantunich Mayan ruins during the spring break and it was our favorite tour (of that particular vacation). You can see Guatemala from the top of the big temple.

How easy is it to get around by road in Belize? I understand they have a reliable bus system. What about rental cars- good or bad idea? Any additional information would be appreciated.
