Looking for some suggestions. The GF and I have booked AA award seats to EZE (200k for 2 in FC). It'll be my 4th trip down and her first.
We're planning to spend the first 3 days (arriving Easter Sunday) in Bs As, then going onward. Thinking of a few days in Mendoza and the rest in Patagonia.
Mendoza
It's the Argentinean wine country. How developed is the tourism industry geared for that? Are the wineries generally open for tastings?
Deep South Patagonia
What are the must-see places down there other than Torres del Paines (which is in Chile anyway)? Puerto Williams, Puntas Arenas, Trelew etc.? What's the best way to arrnage something cheaply for people who don't speak Spanish well?
Not entertaining Bariloche or San Martin as it's too much like home. Maybe some other part of Rio Negro.
Iguazu Falls
Should have gone there when I was in Asuncion. Is it worth a hike up there and to look around Misiones?
Any suggestions welcome.
