Does anyone know what the minimum connecting time would be for a domestic arrival on Jet Airways to an international fight on JAL?

My international departure leaves at 9:05 pm, and I appear to have a choice between arriving in Delhi from Bangalore at 10:25 am or at 7:40 pm. I'd really prefer not to have an 11 hour layover (I'm already facing a 12 hour layover in Narita), but I don't want to cut it too close.

You will have to take the morning flight and stay the day in Delhi. It's a good 20 minutes at least between the domestic and international terminals (thats assuming you can get a cab or shuttle immediately - there may be delays) and you will need to be checked in at least 60 minutes prior to departure. It is far too close for comfort.

Indian Airlines has a 7:00pm arrival into DEL from BLR most days of the week. If you can switch to that flight from the 7:40pm Jet Airways, you will probably be ok.

Thanks. I'm trying to arrange as much as possible of this vacation using points or miles, so I'm hoping to use NW miles for the internal Jet Airways flight. I'll have to decide whether the reduced out-of-pocket cost is worth the additional layover time.

You can redeem Air France miles (if you have them) for Indian Airlines flights.

If you can stand the heat (40+C, 104+F in the summer) then a day in DEL isn't always a bad thing. You can take a trip into town and do some sightseeing. Plenty to see in one day.
