The lady in my life and I are joining a tour group Delhi. Plan to arrive a day early (Dec 21). Any suggestions for a special place to stay (= interesting) for one night? After a non-stop from ORD we won't be up to very much, but would like to sample something special.

If you want to sample something special, forget about Delhi and see if you can plan something at Jaipur, at some point, instead.

The Oberoi hotel (Raj Vilas) there is definitely something special and, although I haven't sampled it myself, I have every intention of taking family there the next time I visit. Making a reservation is an absolutely must.

A meal at "Dumpukht", the Northwest Indian restaurant at the Maurya Sheraton Hotel is one great way to spend an evening. Its a decent hotel to stay in as well.
I wouldn't trust the bed and breakfasts, unles you're planning to really rough it out in (a place called) Paharganj near Connought Place.

Whats the status of the UA ORD-DEL nonstop after the attacks?

Our trip and UA ORD/DEL are both cancelled. Tour group cancelled, we didn't.
