NSW Premier Bob Carr said a ban on jetskis in Sydney Harbour would not be overturned despite a large protest by jetski owners outside parliament house today.

A convoy of 80 jetskis had been towed into Macquarie Street and was circling parliament house to protest against tough new laws that came into effect last month.

Mr Carr described jetskis as aquatic motorbikes and a nuisance on Sydney Harbour.

While I don't know if Sydney Harbour should have a ban, there are areas that no PWC or snowmobiles should have access to.

PS: I am an avid snowmobiler and PWC rider.
