Ansett is out of business. I just repurchased some Australian domestic tickets on Qantas through Expedia for December. With Ansett out of business, I would expect Quantas to run very full, and perhaps add some flights. There are very limited provisions for Ansett ticket holders that want to fly on Quantas. Their website has details. By phone they will not handle any business, at this time, other than the immeadiate needs of stranded travelers.

There have been posts about Ansett flying again, but nothing concrete. Qantas website now says that they do not want people to call, unless they are traveling in the next 24 hours, because of the extra workload caused by Ansett's discontinuing service.
