The first booth exclusively for electronic tolls, or e-tolls, on the Sydney Harbour Bridge began operating at midnight.

Only vehicles with e-tags will be able to cut down travelling times by using booth 14.

Motorists using the booth will need to line up in lane 5 in the morning peak period and lane 6 in the evening peak.

Until today drivers with e-tags had to queue with other motorists.
