Going to STT next week for my cousin-in-law's wedding. Just wondering what my options are to get to St. John or St. Croix by air or ferry. Also, we have a rental car reserved to go around the island. Is it worth it or should we dump it and cab it?

There is ferry to St.John, and to Jost van Dyke, Tortola, and Virgin Gorda. Private boat to Peter Island from Tortola.

Do a search on Bomba Charger.

I've been to STT 3 times.

There is no airport on St. John, so the only access is by ferry. The post above is correct about ferry choices. The ferry to St. John is inexpensive and frequent. It only takes 15 minutes to get there and it's definitely worth seeing (much nicer than STT IMO). The BVI's are also worth seeing. They are even more laid back than St. John.

You can fly to STX. I know AA flies the route and I think that others do as well. There was at one time, I think, a high speed hovercraft that did this route as well, but I'm not sure it's still around.

Edited to add:

I'd rent a car. There are tons of taxis. They charge by the person, so it gets expensive if you have lots of people. I personally like the flexibility of having a car.
