Try a search in the Hilton forum (and in archived threads). There are a few trip reports re the Hilton property, with some additional info re the islands.

We were in T&T last October. Only spent a day in Trinidad and that was far to long for me. Having said that there is suppose to be a bird sactuary there that is good. Trinidad is the business capital of the area and looks like a large industrial, poorly developed place. The crime rate is very, very high. We did a day trip and the driver was very informative on the crime and the conflict between the two major ethnic groups.

Tobago is a completely different story. Very nice island. Pretty undeveloped. You will not have a problem finding cheap accomodations in Crown Point. Lots of self catering places that look "decent". Go to Mr. Fiddlah's and tell Jason that Audrey and Jim from Florida say hello. We didn't get his address when we were there, sorry to say.

E-mail me if you want some more specifics. I did post a review on the Hilton site as we stayed at the Hilton in both places.
