I recently bid on--and won--three nights at the Prospect Reef Resort on Tortola. Is anyone familiar with the property. It seems pretty nice on the Web, with children's activities.

I believe that this property gets generally mixed reviews. No beach, and its on the "wrong" side of the island. The BVIs, however, are awesome. You should check the BVI bulletin board at www.traveltalkonline.com (http://www.traveltalkonline.com) for more information.

Yes, not to dampen your enthusiasm, but it's on the south side of the island with no beach while the good beaches and better hotels are on the north side.

However, Tortola is great. You may want to rent a car so you can easily explore.

Thanks for the insight..we are not going to Tortola. There was a restriction on the certificate, so we declined the sale. Thanks anyway.
