Unfortunately, the best time for cheap airfares to the Bahamas is typically hurricane season, specifically Sept, thru Nov. Best bet would be to go to Dream Maps on Travelocity (under the heading Dream, Plan, Go), put in your city of origin and price limit, then click on "Caribbean" and any available cheap deals should pop up. Or, since you are out of Pittsburgh, check to see if USAir offers webfares or other specials.

Actually, I just did some checking for you, jazzeaw, and USAir offers flights to Nassau for $294 rt from Sept. 4 thru Dec. 18.
