It depends of course on what cruise you are taking and what countries you are visiting as to what you need. If you have a passport, bring that, there isn't any question that will be accepted. If the cruise is to just the islands, then Photo ID/Birth Certificate may suffice, but again all that depends on the port stops.

It will be the same as you come back in through immigration and customs when you get off the ship, it all depends on where the ship stopped as to what they will want to see. Again, if you have a passport then there isn't any question at all.

If you get a passpost there will be no questions asked.

38 of us are doing a dobie gillis 3 hr, er day cruise miami - nassau -mia. most have passports. about 10 are under 15. however some people think you can still get by w / a drivers license.

anyone reentered thru mia w/ other docs from carribean recently?

just spent a while [2-3 hrs] and found out this from the us info service [1-800-688-9889]

returning from nassau to the us can be done with an original certified or raised letter stamped birth certificate and a us gov't issued picture id if you are 16 or over. under 16 must be with a parent. us issued passport also works fairly well.
