Help!

I got on a losing streak on the cruise last week.

Now I got 10 days to pay $3000.

Any advise?

On one of our cruises in 1999 on Monarch of the Seas, a honeymoon couple were some of our dinner mates. The husband went into a casino on one of the islands and lost $1600.00. He was young and inexperienced and we felt really forry for him You must be wary of the gaming on and off the ship. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/redface.gif

Well, some states outlaw collection of gambling debts. The theory, I guess, is that they don't want to encourage vice. You might talk to a lawyer.

Be glad you were on Princess and they are giving you the time, other ships may have you waiting on tables for six years http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

Yeah, but think... all that traveling with no miles http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif

Back to the topic, sorry about the loss... but the best learned lesson is a hard one. Hope you get this paid for quickly and you don't fall into the same situation again.

What I do when going to a casino is, figure out what I want to lose (always assume that you will lose the money) and take just that. When its gone, you leave and don't have the temptation to dip into your wallet for just one more bet.

George...

Hmmm..... I wonder which states have these laws?

If you come up short and only have $2,500, why not get 2,500 lottery tickets and win the money back?

If you charged it to your credit card, then you just about have to pay it unless you can prove fraud. I will bet that charge hit your credit card immediately.

I would never gamble with my shirt unless I was ready to donate to charity anyway.

Does this prove the saying 'gamblers have a secrete desire to lose?'

Caught enough of National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation to see the similarity.
