Can anyone contribute info reqarding day room
availability at the Sydney Australia Airport area.
I can't find any from searches. Called Hilton-non available.

In addition to the Sydney Airport Hilton (where I normally stay), try these other "Airport" hotels:
Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport (http://www.stamford.com.au/StmSydArpt/default.html)
Parkroyal Sydney Airport (http://www.parkroyal.com.au/framesets/main.asp)

They all have free shuttle busses from both domestic and international terminals. If you are just looking for lounge/shower facilities, then both Qantas and Ansett have these in their membership lounges if you have access.

Better still, leave your bags in a locker at the airport, jump in a cab (cost neglegible in US$) and head for Circular Quay for a look/walk.
