I'm going to be at around 91,000 miles for the year on AA when I come back from my last trip on December 20. I figure this will be my year to make EP, so I have been looking at trips to Europe (LGW, ZRH, CDG) and wanted to see if anyone would like to join me on a run.

I saw a fare for $491 to ZRH on the 777 in coach on Dec 30/31.

I have been checking the European fares for a mileage run that weekend also and the ZRH flight does seem to be the most economical way to do it. However, I will probably be leaving on Friday (just in case the Saturday flight is severely delayed or cancelled), just to make sure I get both segments in before year end. If you REALLY want miles badly, you can go DFW to CDG via LAX in both directions for about $150 more (and fly about 2,000 extra miles in each direction).
By the way, are you signed up for both the European bonus and and TTBNS? With both of those bonuses, plus Platinum double miles, plus the online booking bonus, this $491 ZRH flight could be worth about 36,000 miles (more if you are on your 2nd or 3rd European trip during the bonus period).

I can deal with the Friday departure and may think of heading on to BSL where I know the city a little bit better than ZRH. Let's see if anyone else wants to join us and then finalize. I can't get AA.com to price it, but it should not be much more expensive for another quick leg on a code share.

This would be Europe Trip #2 for the EUR bonus, and the TTBNS + Plat might make this mileage neutral if I do something silly like upgrade to J on miles.

I am ticketed for DFW-ZRH-DFW on Dec 30-31. I'll have a couple of hours in ZRH, but I don't think I'll leave the airport.
