Many thanks to Randy for setting up this great forum. Now we can all share information on our Mileage runs http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Speaking of mileage runs, I am currently ticketed for a mileage run LAX-LHR the second weekend of December. Is anyone out there also planning a LHR run? I have spoken with another FT'r who will be in LHR but was wondering if there are others, maybe we can all try and meet for drinks or something.

I'm doing MCI-PHL-LGW over the same weekend. Of course, I actually *enjoy* London, so by some definitions, it's not a *pure* mileage run. I'm flying US and the miles will re-qualify me for Gold Preferred. I bought the ticket for $377 RT during United's big "We're Sorry and We Want You Back" fare sale about two months ago (which US immediately matched, of course).

Thanks for the new board, by the way!

A warning. It seems that the DL revenue protection cops are at it again.

I think there might be real risks posting your specific mileage runs here if they are segment based. If your email address is the same as the one in your DL profile I bet that they will be looking to see what "we" are doing and will slap offenders.

I would love to hear an opinion from Randy on this one!

I will be doing SFO-LHR run that weekend on UA. I arrive at LHR Dec. 10 about 6 a.m. and leave about four hours later. I plan to be at the UA RCC during most of that time. Let me know if you'll be around then.

Great new forum, BTW. Thanks to those who suggested it.

I'm doing the sfo-lgw run on TWA dec 7-11. I'm not sure what I'm going to do other than shop http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif and check out the new Tate. Anyone have any other great ideas?

I'll be staying with family in the burbs and tubing it in each day. I was planning an early morning at the columbia road flower market for garden accessories. Its well worth it to see learn how to carry a christmas tree home on the tube.

Hey guys...

Well, mine's not a mileage run, but it might be an opportunity to put some faces to other FTers' usernames...

I'll be doing an BA overnighter JFK-LHR the morning of the 9th... will be hanging out for a couple days before continuing on to the Seychelles.

If anyone wants to say hi - either at a lounge or in the city - drop me a line. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

rpmkwpw: You won't be at LHR on the 10th, will you? In any event, I hope you file a trip report after your Seychelles trip. I'm eager to go there and would love to read your report.

Re: Tolarian Wind's point, are the airlines really interested in shutting down someone's efforts to top off their miles by doing a run? (I know that NW no longer gives miles for internet specials, but other than by enacting a general rule such as that, are they really interested in a few hundred frequent flyers who are smart enough to share ideas for the LEGAL use of special fares or 3 stop-over trips?
