American Eagle Suspends Service to Fort-de-France and Pointe-a-Pitre
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, today announced that it has suspended service indefinitely between San Juan and two Caribbean destinations -- Fort- de-France, in Martinique, and Pointe-a-Pitre, in Guadeloupe.
American Eagle was forced to cancel flights when American Airlines employees, who handle American Eagle at both stations, prevented American Eagle from operating its flights. The employees were involved in a dispute with American Airlines.
American Eagle has contacted Air France, Air Guadeloupe, Air Martinique and Liat to reaccomodate passengers. Passengers affected by the service suspension should call their travel agent or American Eagle/American Airlines at 1-800-433-7300.
