Anyone rented from LAX recently? Got a great rate and can use some Cust Service coupons as well. How is the shuttle bus? Service? Cars? Any comments appreciated!

I rent here frequently. The shuttle is fairly good and the location is excellent. Like most rental car companies, the service is terrible. Blue Chip membership is very helpful in speeding me through both pickup and return of my car. As for cars, I like the Thrifty offerings (especially the 300M).

Plan extra time for your return, especially if you have an early morning flight. Even with Blue Chip, it took me about 45 minutes to return the car and have a shuttle arrive.

Thanks for the pointers. I think I have too many frequent renter programs as is but perhaps blue chip will make a 2 hour wait into a 45 minute wait!!
