A couple of comments for renting in Canada.

1 - The route to the Terminal 1 return area in Toronto is a maze and poorly marked. In addition there are NO Hertz staff on-site in Term 1 until 6am. Thus, if you have an early morning flight you'll have to plan accordingly.

2 - On a one-way Windsor to Detroit rental, I was forced to go into the return lobby to return the car and they still could not provide me a receipt. The agent simply told me that since the reservation was in another currency, she had to fax the return info to Canada and I'd get a receipt in the mail. Other car rental companies have figured out how to handle this so, I can't understand why Hertz hasn't.
