**This thread is ONLY used to track and post bonuses available to the general public. PLEASE, DO NOT post any exclusive, or "targeted" (valid for addressee only), bonuses in this thread as they will not be incorporated to the main page.**
The Original "Official Bonus Code Thread" has not been deleted, but will no longer be updated by me. I have created this new version based on the previous requests of many member of this forum as well as the need to comply with the requests and newly revealed rules of the Dividend Mile program. So, here we go...........
This post will be updated on a regular basis as forum members provide this thread with new bonuses. So, those who just want to view the currently available bonuses only need to view this first post on Page 1.
!!**PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ALL CODES**!!
Supposedly, US is actively going to audit and *may* punish those who register for codes that they do not qualify for, so consider yourself warned.
For codes that you QUALIFY for, you can call 1-800-872-4738 and enter your DM number and promotion code. If I have listed a link, you also have the option of signing up through the web-site.
You must register IN ADVANCE of your flight.
*NOTE* Many bonuses are exclusive, so make sure you know what you are registering for, as it could cost you more miles on a better promotion.

How about adding the unadvertised Gold promo from Oct - Dec. One has to call DM and request it. I recall 12,500 miles or 16 segments.

Why does anyone feel the need to so quickly do exactly what they tell us? The undocumented bonuses were the escence of the old thread. I know US has compalined about this, but are we just pawns or sheep who will do whatever they tell us? Gosh as the rsearch shows, i.e. Milgrams Obedience Psychological Experiments (http://www.new-life.net/milgram.htm), people are very obedient to what they perceive as authority. be it your school teacher in 3rd grade, or the DM program managements "warning." etc. What is the warning is all smoke? Youdo realize, I hope, the power or propeganda? What if US just pushed this rumor in circulation, and has no intent on spending $ they don't have on IT system fixes. Or maybe they unregisterred all people from some of the bonuses, but won't put the real fixes needed in to the systems. I get the sense that people don't often consider that a lot of warnings can simply be propeganda and little if anything else. But look at people scurry with the propeganda alone. Before any real changes happen. I have not read of a single case of mileage revocation, etc.

Here's a new one. And no, it is not marked "4 addressee only".
Earn Double Miles with New Nonstop Service Washington to Nassau, Bahamas
Beginning November 2, 2002, US Airways is proud to introduce the only nonstop service between the Washington/Baltimore area and Nassau.
The flight times are perfect for the vacation traveler -- even for a quick getaway or long weekend with only a little over 2 1/2 hours flying time.
Dividend Miles members will earn double miles on all flights between Washington Reagan National and Nassau, Bahamas from November 2, 2002 through February 2, 2003.
To qualify, register once before your next flight by completing the form below.

gardener - thanks - added 3889. Don't feel obligated to notify that it is a public code every time, we will go on the honor system here. Unless the link or verbage you give me indicates it is "for addressee only," I will assume it is not and include it.
gnaget - thanks for the suggestion, but I would prefer to just continue to make this a Code thread - those that can be registered over the Internet or Phone. There are probably a large number of things one could call and request from DM. Thanks anyways!
jetsetter - I definitely see your point, but for a variety of personal reasons, I have to go with what has been told to us. Personally, I didn't have a problem with posting the "private" codes because we can assume people are signing up for those they qualify for...and, if not, well, it is really the fault of US for doing targeted marketing AND not fixing their systems. However, they have directly stated to not share private codes, so for the time being, that is what I will be doing.

Have flown 4 segments since signing up for some other segment bonuses which I now believe may be defunct as they may have been targetted. Will see tomorrow if anything posts from them.

So, is it "safe" at this point to go ahead and register for the bonuses in this thread? I wouldn't want to violate US's terms and have my account "adjusted". But, if these are truly "public" codes, then I should be in the clear, right?

ThisFlightNoFuel - this is obviously up to your own discretion. I have tried to lay the ground rules (not really my rules even, but the rules of DM and FT) on this thread and will trust that people are following those rules.
If you are really so concerned, call DM and ask them if you allowed to sign up for XX bonus.
I think they are well aware of this forum and thread, so you won't be giving anything away by calling.
Of course, I am not that concerned, so in my opinion, you are good to go.

Oct 28, 02, 9:29 am
Im not sure calling them will help. I called the CP line to register for the GOM promotion and have apparently been unregistered for it. That shows on my account. I am also really concerned about is what else might I be unregistered for, and when. Is the Shuttle Bonus next? Hard to plan things when the target is invisible and moving.

Oct 28, 02, 11:41 am
Back in the day before I was CP, I did have to call DMSC to ask, as res didn't know. But that was before GOM, so it was OK to do so. I wonder if DMSC has been briefed to actually go and look through people's records when they call about bonus sign-ups? Thats really the only way they can "catch" GOM'ers.

I put it there for relatives! My mother-in-law who flies PHL-MCI RT every two years or so, never joined DM! Thought she would never accumulate enough for a RT. Anyway, I signed her up and with the help of a lot of bonuses she has enough for an off-peak RT just from the one MCI trip.
So I thought some of us regulars just might be in a position where we have a friend or relative who is about to fly but hasn't signed up for DM yet.

I registered for five of the segment bonuses, flew four segments and didn't get diddly. My theory is they "unregistered" me sometime between 10/4 ATL-PHL and 10/18 PHL-SFO...
Likewise with the two "Welcome Home" tier bonuses - I have already booked 4 seggies with one, no results. Only logged two seggies since registering for the other, but I'm not hopeful.

I called and inquired about the status of the Welcome Home promo's and was told that these were targeted promo's for DM's who have moved to or from Orlando, Columbus or Dayton. Anyone having any success or sorrows with these? Or was I just given some bad info?
On the plus side, The kind CSR did "re-qualify" me for Philly Wings. My MDT-PHL-SJU flights had been re-booked to an F class by using a CS0007 and I am now sitting on TRIPLE miles for all seg's. Sweet, you have to love exceptions when they happen A.) For you and B.) In a positive manner!

I was a Gold in October with 2 segments total for the year and nowhere to go. The FT board turned me on to a couple of challenges, and as of this morning I'm a new Chairman's Preferred with a total of 28 segments for the year.

I think I told you (BigLar) about the promos. However, when I called this morning they wouldn't honor the CP promo. Since I never signed up for GOM, etc., I was in the position to call and ask if I could get this promo back when I wanted to sign up. They put me on hold and came back with a positive answer.
Most of the women there are overly friendly but the one I got today was quite businesslike. She fired back that the promo was only intended for people who had trouble retaining their current level of status. She talked to a supervisor but no cigar.....
Maybe, I should call back....
p.s. They gave me Gold but I am only a Shuttle flight away from that anyway.

I agree - that stinks. I didn't even sign up until late November. In fact, I don't know if I even signed up. I dealt directly with the agent at the Gold desk, explained the situation, she look at current promos, and then said "yep, you qualify". She told me I had already qualified for Silver, and call back when I had done the 16 segs for Gold. I did, and she confirmed that I was Gold for '03. Sure enough, the Welcome pack arrived last week, along w/ 2 SWU's and 2 NAU's.
When I finished the 24 segs and they posted, I called (this morning) and she went off and took care of it. When I check my DM account, there it is, big as life, Chairman's Preferred.
So, I don't get the problem ... if you got the required segs in the required time frame, you should get the CP. I'd call back (more than once, if necessary) and maybe raise holy hell until they come through ... just be sure you've met the requirements.
I feel kind of bad that I made it on your suggestion, and you can't seem to get it. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Just talked to a "senior supervisor". She said the promo was intended to target current Gold members to go up one level. (This morning it was retaining one's status.) That's why you made it and I didn't.
Not a big deal... I definitely don't think that I deserved the status anyway.
It ties into the earlier comment about the "non advertised" challenge program that only lets US4s get Silver.

The thing is, though, for those of you who registered (targeted or not) and completed the challenge, I see it this way...
You were allowed to register, giving you the impression that if you kept up your part of the bargain, they would keep up theirs You brought revenue to the airline that you may not have normally otherwise given them If they don't fulfill their part of the bargain, they are, in essence, in breach of contract. You should go to another airline if you go through all that and they still say no.
Now, don't go jumping down my throat about who's been targeted and who hasn't -- the simple fact is that they accepted the registrations (and your money) gladly. Like it or not, they now need to do the right thing. KEEP PESTERING THEM AND THREATEN TO BRING THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES IF YOU HAVE TO.
I also know that they seem to not know what the right thing IS of late, but that's a whole separate issue.

You make a good point. I put all my domestic travel on US since September. I would most probably not have used US on three round-trips -- two of them business trips with decent revenue. I even attempted to fly US international, but the hassle factor was too large for someone based in DC. I am glad that it worked out so that all my travel had a purpose and that I didn't do any "mileage runs" -- that would have pissed me off.
Furthermore, I didn't just sign up -- I even called and asked if they would allow me to get the promotion. However, I have more important things to worry about in life.

That attitude (and the brain trust that promotes it at US) is part of what is to thank for the company to be in Chapter 11.

I am really waiting to see on this one. I am a current CP who was going to be short (very little short as it turns out) so I signed up with a live person for the challenge. My next statement even confirmed that I was in on the challenge. I called back again just a few days before it ended and they still had me signed up, even confirmed the date and I was substantially over the challenge target. But Im real nervous about hearing about some of the problems people have on this. It will be very interesting to see indeed. Im not sure I will even know until I get my packet early next year.

A buddy of mine had to write a letter to Carol Blazer, who's the head of DM Customer Service (and, according to the people at the CP Desk, a VERY nice person). Even though the phone rep said no, a few days and a polite letter later, they got CP.
So, despite my previous barn-blazing post, the strategy is: be nice, be patient, and it should work out! Good luck!

#9635 (6/30/03) Starting January 1, you can earn 20,000 bonus miles for travel in First Class or Envoy Class (F,J,P and C fare classes) and 10,000 bonus miles for travel in Economy Class when you travel to one of our many exciting destinations including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Manchester, Munich, Paris and Rome. See terms and conditions and register at:
So, if you registered thinking it was available to everyone, and then someone on FT tells you it is for adressee only (I never actually checked usair.com), but you (and your wife) get the miles anyway, do you call them and tell them you received miles you shouldn't have? Or do you just assume you were targeted and somehow missed the notification? Or maybe it wasn't really for addressee only.
Since they have their systems fixed, is there a problem with signing up for all promotions, knowing you don't get credit for those you weren't targeted for, just in case you missed the e-mail/postcard?
Any harm in posting all codes so that everyone can do this, just in case?

Sorry folks - it does appear all these new codes have "t&c" that would exclude the general public, so they are not included on the front page. I think it is very stupid, and it is ridiculous that they have links off of their own web-site that aren't for public use. They deserve to be taken advantage of with that poor of controls over their program.
That said, I am still going to play in this thread by the rules that FlyerTalk and US have given me. I think it would be great if someone else (CPRich??) wanted to take it upon themselves to start a new thread for those codes that I don't include here.
Gandalf - I will include any code in this thread as long as it isn't for a specific, exlusive group (program members, address, etc). If you feel that it qualifies, then please post it and I will move it on to the main page.
Thanks!

I have decided to go ahead and include it...and the Marriott Rewards code as well. In my mind, the distinction is that I can fairly easily become a member of MR or a reader of this magazine (and thus qualify for the bonus). However, there is really no way for me to become an "addressee" on my own.

Is everybody receiving bonus 5963? I registered for it, got nothing, emailed DM and was told:
unfortunately we are unable to add you to the promotion #5963. We have certain promotions that are offered to selected targeted markets. The criteria is often based on regions, travel patterns or class of service. We hope that you will have the opportunity to qualify for future promotions.
So I emailed back to them showing them the exact terms and conditions indicating that it's up on their website with no limitations on addressee, etc. and I'm told:
Unfortunately, we will not be able to register you for the promotion you referenced below. This was a targeted promotion which is available only to selected members. While some of our promotions are public offers which are available for any member to register for, some of them are offered only to selected members. Selections are based on various criteria such as the market where the member lives or the member's travel patterns. Although you were not selected for this particular promotion, you may be selected for other promotions in the future.
Anyone have any insight on this one?

Received in the mail (both me & Mrs)-
Double miles on all flights to Ireland through July 31 - Bonus Code #5114 or visit usairways.com/dm/5114
No T&C's about adressee only. Normal conditions apply - regisration required, no retroactive credit, applicable to published fares from PHL, can't be combined with other offers, only good when DM miles earned on flight, yadda, yadda.
Fares starting from $388 (Shannon) and $398 (Dublin), sale ends 3/21
EDIT- Ooops, I didn't bother going back 2 months to see that this was already posted. Just consider it a friendly reminder.
EDIT2- Despite the discussion above, I see no "valid for addressee only" on the web site. And it's accessible via the Promotions page, so it is available to the public.

A source that I trust states that the programing fix simply applied an "IF" statement and that ALL 5000-5999 promo codes will only allow one code in this number range of promo's to kick in.
So you can register for one 5XXX code at a time and any others outside of that range.

If true this is extremely bogus. V & L are certainly published fares, the only fares that aren't is Priceline and the like.
I would call again and see if you get a different answer. Generally USAirways has been explicit about which fares are included or excluded, example "must be booked in Y/B/M" or "V class excluded"

V and L are published fares and U usually lists exclusions this way:
Terms and conditions: One-time registration is required prior to departure to qualify. Valid with the purchase of F, A, J, P, C, Y, B, M, H, K or Q fare classes on flights operated by US Airways and US Airways Express. This offer cannot be combined with any other bonus-mile offer. Bonus miles do not count toward earning Preferred status or E-Upgrades. All Dividend Miles terms and conditions apply.

Got Email to confirm this in writing:

Why is it that only the agents can read this
and what is on the email and reg form a
different story!?
Beware, I checked PHL-SNA today by price and
there are two different $338 Fare Classes. One is 'V' class, and the other is a "Q".
Does the 'Q' mean 'qualify for bonus if you
youre smart enough to choose the right one
if you know the right facts.'?
Seems like an deliberate attempt to con-fuse
you out of your bonus miles to me.

In my DM email statement but not marked as addressee only:
http://www.usairways.com/dividendmiles/2368.htm
Beginning November 8, 2003, US Airways will begin new Saturday nonstop service to San Jose, Costa Rica via Charlotte, NC and Philadelphia, PA. To celebrate, members can earn double miles on all qualifying, paid fares to/from San Jose through February 8, 2004.
Yay! Costa Rica is back on the schedule (originally flights were supposed to start on Nov 2002).

Dividend Miles members can earn bonus miles when flying to or from Florida between July 1 and September 30, 2003. Members who purchase and fly on First Class or select Coach Class fares (F, A, Y, B or U fare classes) will earn Triple Miles. All other qualifying, paid Coach Class fares (M, H, K, Q, V or L fare classes) will earn Double Miles.
Again, not marked as addressee only.

I can't tell you guys how valuable this thread and past iterations of it have been to me.
I have called about promotion 7596 (25k Hertz Gold EU Envoy promo) and have been told multiple times that it expired back in March as opposed to the 12/03 date listed on page one.
Does anyone have more information on this? Has anyone received it post March 03?
Thanks,

I am about to fly to Phoenix, AZ from BWI. Is there any new codes out there?
Also I bought these tickets on my DM visa, and signed up for the promo. Do I see the bonus when I fly or when I buy?
Added: I was just told by a USAIR Gold CSR that bonus code 3569 is the same as 2362 (The 2x DM Visa code) just not restricted to a targeted group.
