Hi:

Just curious, a flight attendant said on a recent flt from CLT-FPO that Freeport would collect a $15 fee upon departure. I've been into Freeport three times in the past 5 weeks and I've never been asked for a $15 fee to leave the country. Has anyone else heard this before?

I know in Vancouver, BC, they collect a $10 fee for "Airport Improvement"... (they've been "improving" that airport for at least ten years now!)

I had it collected, but that was back in April...

I have always paid it on departure from Freeport, if my memory serves.

My most recent trip was over the summer, I don't recall if they collected it then, but every visit prior to that, I had to pay it to the airline agent at departure.

I don't remember having to pay this when I was there in early 2002, but I do remember a similar situation in GCM where we were advised of a US$12.50 charge on departure at the airport. When I went to pay it they told me it was already embedded in the taxes on my ticket.

Alternately, I had to go pay cash to leave EZE -- they didn't put it in the ticket price.

I was there at the end of May 2003 and I had to pay 5 dollars.

Got in the wrong line again? That was for the Cubano and shot of rum in the waiting area.

No fee when I went over in Nov. Hope none next weekend either.

By the way, congrats on SEN status. Mine will be in March.
