Recently flew from IAH-PHL in first. Got a predeparture drink along with some nuts but then never even saw the FA during the rest of the flight. I figured the poor service was just because the flight was very turbulent and the seatbelt sign was on for the entire three hours. I was unhappy about the lack of any sort of meal or another drink, but understood if it was unsafe to serve. I did however notice that coach attendants were coming into first occasionally so they were obviously doing work. So when the flight has on and off turbulence is it up to the FA whether or not to serve, or was my FA just not on the ball. I actually wish I had sat in coach as there were about 10 pax and I would have at least gotten a coke. Fortunately they let me used an expired systemwide to upgrade so I lost nothing.

YES...... the F/A's are required to remain seated if there is turbulence. The captain usually makes an announcement. And if you got to use an expired coupon, don't complain. And were they really serving in coach? Did you see them handing out drinks and pretzels? And did you bother to ring your F/A bell to ask for a drink??
