Ok, I am buying a ticket from UL for approx $1200.00 and getting another useing 60k US Miles.
I dont have enough miles for the 90k business class award (and I cannot pay for business on the other one).

However, before I head off in April I WILL have enough miles to upgrade one of the tickets. I ALSO have 30k miles with DL (a UL partner).

Assuming there are seats, will I be able to wait a few months and use the DL miles to upgrade one ticket and use my miles to upgrade the other?

You've got a ticket on UA and you want to upgrade with DL and US miles?

I don't think there is any possible way to do this. You'd need UA miles to be able to upgrade the tickets. Even then, you won't be able to upgrade the award ticket, only the ticket you've purchased - and only then if the ticket was bought on a fare code that allows upgrades.

You might want to try Coupon Connection and see if there is someway you could exchange your miles for an SWU or Sweetspot on UA, but again, those will only work on the purchased ticket and may have fare restrictions.

According to US Gold desk, I could redeposit the miles and then pull 90k out and upgrade that way.
I guess I was thinking that I could somehow transfer the DL miles to UA and use them as well.

That isn't "upgrading". That is re-depositing a coach award (which will cost you a fee btw) and seeking an entirely new award ticket in business class subject to availablity.
