View Full Version : Have any 757s been reconfigured yet?

Flying PHL-CLT-LAS-PHL this week. Didn't upgrade at the 7-day window...CP desk says F was sold out on both flights.

Have the 757s been reconfigured already...or does the reservation system think they have 8 F seats when in fact some (or all) still have 24? I'm hoping that's the case and will get upgraded at the gate.

I'm on a 757 from CLT-TPA tomorrow. I actually did clear already, but it shows as an F8 config. I will let everyone know if they actually have been redone yet as soon as I get back.

Supposedly they start today, and are planning on turning 1 every 2 or 3 days.

Of course, the genius who runs US inventory management had many, if not all of these flights thru Janurary set to F24 until a few days back, so many are in for a rude shock upon your arrival at the airport. I have heard that the US reacommodation program in Sabre takes nothing but existing seat assignments into account--ergo, it would be in your best interests to grab row 1 or 2 on any existing/future 757 trips in F.

Right now that is still the case, so you should have no problem upgrading at the gate. The first reconfigured plane is due in a couple of days and it should be sometime in January when they are all done. They might try to keep the F24 planes on the LAS flights until the end because they apparently sold more than 8 F seats with the sale on some flights.
