I wanted to say "Thanks" to everyone on this site. After about 8 months of reading the posts and using all the help offered, I finally made CP for the first time! All the double bonus miles, buy 3 get 1 free promos and even advice on how to get the best mileage has really helped out. Thanks to all and I'll see you in FC.

Welcome to flyertalk. Glad you found it useful. I certainly do as well. FOr years I did CP the hard way before flyertalk (segments). Now I should hit it next week and it was a lot easier this year.

On a related topic, my mom made Silver yesterday for the first time. She almost got snowed in at RSW (well...major delay on her RSW-PIT flight due to to the snowstorm). When her friend suggested trying to get onto the RSW-PHL flight & drive home from PHL, my mom protested: She needed the extra segment to make Silver. She said she was too embarrassed to tell her friend why she was so insistent on sticking with the original itinerary, even if it meant getting stuck in PIT overnight (which thankfully didn't happen). You are going to love being a CP. There is a world of difference in the way US treats you. More importantly, the CP desk is the best. For several years I would always spread my flights around so I would have status on a couple of airlines. Then I screwed up and made CP. The CP desk has keep me coming back now for three or four years and now I always make sure I make CP on US first before I spread my flights around.
